Quick update on the club activities below and a Congratulations to Jacob Broselle for working his way to the High School All American 7s team. Coming back from injury and showing grit- well done!

Tour IN
July 9 2019 Brentwood Schools (England) u14 & u16 starts at 4pm, one match after the other
 
July 10 2019 West Monmouth (Wales) u18 starts at 5pm
 
Can Am 7s July 13 2019 always need additional help, please let us know if you are available or come on out for lunch and enjoy a cold beverage. Always a great time.. Can Am 7s
 
Summer Camp for kids grades k-8, please register here we are limiting the registration to a maximum numbers for the following grades: K-2 20/ grades 3-5 30/ grades 6-8 30. We have a great group of Coaches this summer, come on out its fun and all will improve!

Best wishes to Ben and the balance of Team USA as they prepare for the Pan American Games July 26-August 11 2019 in Lima, Peru. Ben had a breakout year with Team USA and wish him all the best at this tournament! Go Team USA!

Both Jack and Cole played very well for Team USA this past month, regrettably coming up on the short side vs Canada in a two match series. Nothing but upside to these two studs and all the best to them as they continue to grow in our great game.

As the club tradition continues to find opportunities for young athletes to continue to develop and play to the level they are capable of, the Washington State Loggers is that next step beyond Club. We wish all the following athletes and their respective teams great success as the play in various tournaments and games this summer.
 
Side Note: Chuckanut Bay is hosting the Washington Loggers u14s vs British Columbia u14s on August 10th 2019 we will add to the website schedule as well FB, hope to see all come up to support the club athletes and team.

YOUTH Rugby -  JAMBOREE & FUNDRAISER - Mar 23 

Here is the UPDATED schedule for Saturday 3/23 -

 Date:              March 23rd

 Event:            Jamboree with East Side Rugby Club (From Seattle)

 Location:       Chuckanut Bay Rugby Fields - 7090 Dahlberg Rd. Ferndale, WA 98248

Arrival Time:   8:30

 Times:           Fundraiser:  Will run from 9 AM - 11 AM,   Kids will do the: Punt, Pass & Kick Skills **BRING YOUR FOLDERS***  Then go get ready for their games - see below schedule.               

                       Jamboree Games Start Times for different grades: 

                                   K/1:   10:30 

                                   2/3:   10:30 

                                      4:    11:00

                                   5/6:    11:30 

  Feed:             Will start at 11:30 for the K/1 Group go thru Noon for the 5/6 Kids

We get to host Coaches & Players from both teams -

Let's share the Chuckanut Rugby Way - we have historically been know for being great hosts and we want to continue the tradition. 

Also very exciting news, the older kids will be playing on the Main Field Saturday as well - take a minute to check it out!!

We had our 1st practice in the books - 60+ Youth Kids came out.  Fantastic!!

Week 1. March 5 & 7 at Whatcom Community College 6pm

Week 2. March 12 at WCC  (last practice at WCC Orca Field) 

               March 14 at home pitch 6  (Moving to home field: 7090 Dahlberg Rd, Ferndale, WA 98248)

• Sunday March 17th In Club Jamboree @ Home Pitch @ 10 AM

Week 3. March 19 & March 21 at the Club 6:00

• Saturday March 23 Punt, Pass & Kick at home - FUNDRAISER @ 10 AM

Development

Our u6 teams typically play 5 v 5 Co-Ed Flag Rugby

Our u8 teams typically play 7 v7 Co-Ed Flag Rugby

Our u10 teams begin to introduce Co-Ed “contact” in a controlled setting, typically play 10 v 10 

Our u12 teams continue with development and confidence building with contact and expanding the athletes understanding of Rugby, typically play 12 v 12 Co-Ed Rugby.
