This month, the Pickford Film Center is hosting their 14th annual Doc-tober film festival, a month-long documentary festival where over 40 films are screened in one month. Chuckanut Bay Rugby has the honor of presenting one of the films during this festival. SCRUM is a new documentary about one of the first Black US college rugby coaches building a new team at Queens University of Charlotte and finds that success isn’t measured in championships. The coach, Frank McKinney shares his dream of building his program and including diversity in the sport he loves.
Pickford has given our club the opportunity to present this film and we’d like to encourage you to check out the offered screening times and get your tickets purchased. Invite a friend, bring your family. This documentary will give you a unique perspective in the sport we all love.
