We need to cancel the rugby events due to the COVID-19 virus

We must inform you that we will be suspending all matches and practices for at least the next 2 weeks due to the COVID-19.  This is under the advice and direction of Rugby Washington, Gov. Inslee and health officials.

We will work on making up matches and rescheduling events.  Please know that we want the best for each player and their families.  We will keep everyone posted on when we will get back on the pitch.  Until then, stay healthy!

*The Club Dinner Auction has also been postponed until May- more details to follow.

Rugby WA members,

There has been a flurry of information regarding the concerns of the COVID-19 outbreak in the state of Washington in the last few hours. Governor Inslee has released a statement banning events of 250+ attendants, and requiring smaller events to take serious precautions and minimize human contact and multiple schools and school districts are choosing to move to online education for at least the next 2 weeks.

We, as Rugby WA, have decided to postpone matches for at least the next 2 weeks (3/14, 3/21), and possibly longer dependent on health officials advisory. The safety of our members is our top priority. Any actions we can take to minimize risk are the right actions to take. We will be working over the next 2 weeks to help everyone reschedule these matches, so please keep an eye out for that. We will continue to update and adjust as more information is released. If your school district, parks and rec department, or other local governing body requires stricter policies, please defer to them and let us know.

We encourage you all to cancel your practices as well.
